Welcome to the website of our staff association! We are an enthusiastic group of colleagues who are committed to connection, conviviality and involvement within our company. By organizing various activities, from sporting events to relaxing outings, we ensure that everyone gets a chance to get to know each other better in an informal way.

Our Story

The faces behind our staff association have a rich history. The association has existed for decades and was led for many years by a permanent group of dedicated board members: Patrick van Aken, Natasja Bakelaar, Brian Rademaker, Sjany den Boer, Erik Leenart and Sylvia Maat. Unfortunately, this close-knit group split up for various reasons, but since the beginning of 2024 a fresh wind has blown through the association.

A new, enthusiastic group of colleagues has taken over, with the aim of breathing new life into the staff association. Only Sylvia Maat is still active from the old board, but together with five new members she is fully committed to more connection, conviviality and involvement within SGS Nederland BV

The new board members represent different business lines within Spijkenisse, which gives the association a broad and diverse base. Sylvia Maat represents Industries & Environment, Deborah van Kesteren represents Health & Nutrition, Xander Verbeek represents Oil, Gas & Chemicals, and Davy Prager, Michael van der Velde and Marika Celestre represent Minerals. Together we want to ensure that our staff association plays a vibrant and connecting role within our company!
